Plastic waste is choking our communities and our environment. As a country, we throw out enough plastic to fill one and a half football stadiums every day.
The best thing we can do to stem the tide is to simply stop using and producing so much plastic in the first place. And we can start by banning the wasteful single-use items we just don't need, such as polystyrene foam food containers and plastic shopping bags.
Colorado has a chance right now to pass a landmark ban on these and other harmful single-use plastics -- but your legislators need to hear from you. Will you send an urgent message today to help move Colorado beyond plastic?
